Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. In 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. It reached the top 8 spot on the Top Latin Albums Chart. Following that year, the singer teamed with Ozuna to make Vaina Loca that was an album that was a Top Five hit. He also collaborated with Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and in the year following, he released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. He appeared in 2021 in a duo performance with TINI on her cult stream single Maldita Foto. in 2023 the single the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo's mother and brother were musicians at the time they were born. In interviews, he has stated that music is compulsory. In his childhood he was taught how to play the piano, saxophone and guitar.
